Dieses Video wurde im Jahre 1995 produziert von Jack van Asten vom Rijksinstitut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (RIVM) der Niederlande. Seit der Übertragung des Urheberrechts auf die Europäische Gesellschaft für Krankenhaussterilgutversorgung (ESH) wurden europaweit bereits zahlreiche Kopien von Fachleuten und Fachpersonal aus dem Bereich der Sterilisation bezogen. Durch die Bereitstellung auf der WFHSS-Website wird dieses Video als Fortbildungsmaterial einem breiteren Interessentenkreis zugänglich gemacht. Damit wird sowohl dem ursprünglichen Zweck des ESH als auch der Mission des WFHSS gedient, nämlich der Bereitstellung von Lehrmaterial für die Aus- und Weiterbildung auf dem Gebiet der Sterilisation. Das Video hat eine Laufzeit von etwa 22 Minuten und enthält vier verschiedene Szenen, die mit einem fiberoptischen Gerät innerhalb eines Sterilisationsgeräts aufgenommen wurden und den Prozessablauf einer Dampfsterilisation zeigen.
